This is a group for anyone who is a caregiver and needs support in learning to care for themselves. This includes but is not limited to caregivers of family members of illness or disease, mothers and other caretaking family members, doctors, nurses, healers and holistic practitioners.
Let's get together to support each other as we find ourselves in a new world....caregiving. I was surprised to find a lack of gatherings for people suddenly thrust into this new world. I'm transitioning as I continue to work in my designated field....perhaps we could chat, laugh and support each other as we explore this new world together.
Where once you received care as a child, you are now the adult child, and giver of care for aging parents. Whether you share your home, time or resources with parents, there are specific challenges that come with this kind of love. This group has been created strictly for the support and care of the family caregiver; you. We will meet every other Thursday to share, support and celebrate the enrichment and challenges of taking care, while we take care of each other.
